Great Ways To Protect & Preserve Your Wooden Fence

Wooden fences can increase the value of your property & make it esthetically pleasing until they start showing signs of wear due to elements. Here are some ways to protect your investment and extend the life of your fence.

Seal or Stain your fence. Once the wood has cured it is time to have your fence sealed to protect the wood. Usually we have clients wait 3-6 months to have this done. Also depending upon climate conditions we suggest restaining your fence every two or three years.

Keep constant water exposure away from fence. This means keeping landscaping materials such as plants from being too close to the fence as well as irrigation & water sprinklers. Especially away from posts getting constant exposure.

Inspection. It is a good idea to inspect your fence and clear it of mold & debris when possible. A natural remover of mold instead of harsh chemicals consider using vinegar. Also check for cracks or damage every few weeks.

At Bryan Fences we only use A grade materials to help elongate the life of your fence & to give it a chance of lasting up to 15-20 years.
